Tracking my Progress

weight loss chart

Just started this chart this week and already I am eating better and losing weight and exercising. Is it because of this chart? No, but the chart showed up when I have a lot of attention on changing my life style.

Already this week, it’s Wednesday, there has been a choclate cake, a dozen donuts, cookies and brownies at work. Every time I go into the kitchen I think about this chart and I feel good about going out empty handed. So this chart is working!

The chart is a simple Google app and you can get the
Google 15 here.

The Stats

  • March 2006
  • With all the olive oil I have added to the diet I’m surprised to see my weight did not increase
  • The Polar heart monitor has been great. It measures time of the work
out, calories burned, average and maximum heart rate, and you can even set alarms for your heart rate for too high or too low.
  • October 2005
  • My weight: 237 pounds (My bmi body mass index is 29 one point from being obese.)
  • Waist: 44 inches (This is the largest my waist has ever been.
  • Heart rate(at rest): 80
  • Heart rate(after 3 sun salutations): Could not feel the pulse.

Goals October 27, 2005

I do have several long term goals besides losing weight.

I would like to bring down my heart rate and increase strength, flexibility and endurance.

Strengthening my body is important and I’m not to sure how to measure body strength or endurance, but I do want to track my heart rate at rest, at play and maximum heart rate.

Long term Goals

My optimum weight is between 198 and 205. On the bmi scale it should be somewhere between 168 and 212. When I started this site I was 237 and currently 226. Only 20+ pounds to go.

I do want to get my heart rate at rest down to 55 and increase my over all strength.
